Veg Pulao Recipe with soya chunks


Ingredients for Soya Chunk Pulao Recipe

  • Soya bean chunks ,soaked in warm water for 1 hour 2 cups

  • Rice soaked 1½ cups

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Cinnamon ½ inch

  • Cloves 4-5

  • Black peppercorns 4-5

  • Bay leaves 2

  • Ginger-garlic-green chilli paste 2 tablespoons

  • Onions ,finely chopped 2 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli sauce 1 tablespoon

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick wok. Add cinnamon, cloves, peppercorns and bay leaves and sauté for a minute.

Step 2

Add ginger-garlic-green chilli paste, mix and sauté. Add onions, mix and sauté till onions turn light golden or for 2 minutes.

Step 3

Add rice, mix and sauté on high heat for a minute. Add soya chunks, mix and sauté for a minute on low heat. Add salt and mix well.

Step 4

Boil 3 cups water in the microwave.

Step 5

Add boiled water to the wok, stir to mix, cover and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 6

Add chilli sauce, mix well, cover and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 7

Serve hot.
